Dothan, Alabama or Columbus, Georgia...which is a better choice?

My husband and I will be moving shortly from Virginia (thankfully!) and we are trying to decide between Dothan, Alabama and Columbus, Georgia. Which area has better job prospects? My husband is in occupational safety and my degree is in environmental management. (We've already looked at home costs in both areas and find them comparable.)
