Advice please: my driving instructor is scary!!?

i have been having lessons since semptember and i have had about 10 so far my driving instructor is a male and i am a female... he is ok sometimes but he gets angry when i get the wrong gear or i break too hard and he makes me feel so uncomfortable and he gives me road rage he bangs on the dash board and shouts and slams on the breaks from his pedals all the time... i come out of my lesson feeling moody and sad and teary i tell my parents and they say hes just being strict and he also taught my 4 older brothers and they ped 1st time... but they are men and can take it but i am emotional female i just wondered what i should do i want to change instructors but i have spent alot of money on him and dont want to start from scratch with another one any tips or advice please thank you
