Are scientists still trying to fool us with this myth about Kangaroos?

I don't understand the logic of this post. We don't see any new species today? Does that mean you are expecting to see new species evolve? If so, it indicates a vast ignorance on the time scale involved in evolution. What you are doing is quite similiar to the logic of your spouse having a baby---looking at your watch 5 seconds after birth and wondering why the baby hadn't reached adulthood and had a job. Total ignorance of the time scale invovled. This 25 million year old fossil was once living--as the climate and landscape in Australia slowly changed--food sources and a variety of things would have changed as well. Those kangaroos that followed this fossil--the ones that were best adapted to their slowly changing world would have survived and ped on those traits. 25,000,000 years later we have roo's adapted for the ecological niche they occupy.
