Shaking after workout (looking for the science behind it)...?

I used to get that too after my longer workouts, and I was worried whether I was doing something wrong. According to my doctor it's just adrenaline pumping through the body: During exercising the adrenaline would push me to do better - get faster and get stronger than my opponent (handball is serious business - losing is not an option :p). When I would stop, the body would still produce adrenaline but I wouldn't use it. Thus there would be some sort of build up throughout the "system" and oxygen would travel too quickly for my body to use it properly... hope that made sense :p

Why is that the first thing they change?

Why is that when ever newer model cars come out, the first thing they change is the headlights? I mean everything else on the car looks pretty much the same except the headlights. For example, a 2002 PT Cruiser looks the same as a 2008 model except a slight difference in the shape of the headlights. Another thing I noticed are cars that look the same but has a different name and manufacturer. Like GMC Sierra trucks look just like Chevy Silverados, Ford Fusion looks like a Mercury Milan. Mercury Mariner looks like a Ford Escape. I can't say for sure but everytime I see the Nissan 350 Z sportscars, I can't help but see a slightness of a Porsche 911. I first looked at the body of a 350 Z and that of a Porsche, especially the back and side view of both cars and they look almost alike to me in some way.

Anyone have a good "rescue horse" story?

I help a rescue organization in a town about 3 hours from me. I could tell you stories that would make you sick as to what people do to horses, and don't do. It's not cheap, or easy on the pocketbook or the heart to do this kind of work. It's hard on the heart to see these horses initially, and it's harder to let them go after you've spent so much time with them, and of course you always worry about what the new owners will do. I don't have a particular story b/c each horse has been special in it's own way. But I do want to tell you that you did a good thing by not walking away from that horse. So many people would have, and then no telling what would have happened to it.

I paid to do a tandem skydive and drove about 3 hours with my best friend. We got there and I forget my I.D so I could not do the skydive. Since my best friend was with me and we traveled a long time to get there I let him do my skydive (he didn't ask for it) instead and only asked for him to pay me back what he could (at least a 100 bucks though). I only asked for half back because I thought he was a good friend plus he didn't expect to go skydive and wasn't planning it previously. Iooking back I feel like I should not of done that because he only did the bare minimum to pay me back (100 dollars) and never really showed that he was greatful for it. I think a truly good friend would have paid back in full even though it wasn't ask and it not that showed sincere appreciation. He had the time of this life and loved it. What do you think?

My husband got operated for a bleeding ulcer last monday in the emergency room, through his throat. So he was released on Thur. night. he is drinking some anti acid medication along with iron pills but he is still telling me that he feels very weak, oh and he also had a blood transfusion of 2 pts. so my question is. Is it normal for him to feel week and tired since he came out of the hospital on Thur. he saw his Dr. yesterday and told him to force him self to eat and to keep drinking his medication but did not say anything about him feeling weak. I make mistakes atleadt 50 times while reading. And i don't know how to pray. So i don't know what to do. Well, I can see where you are at! But, STD's are a big problem to young people not practicing safe . But cancer research needs to be addressed also. I feel like the students in my cles only speak outloud to hear themselves talk and almost nothing they have to say is intelligent or even relevant to the subject at hand. Speaking in cl is no problem, but irrelevant commentary is rampant! But nobody calls them out! Why do grad students do this? And if you are one of those students who talk just to talk, why do you do it? My whole young adulthood was under a conservative government. I have nothing but bad memories of the type you have described above. However, times change and people learn from their mistakes. Maybe we should stop scaremongering with regards the tories and wait and see how things work out. not a good idea, when they hit puberty they develop an attitude. they are wild and will always be wild. they will wreck your house, they can and do bite. full grown raccoons- males (boars) and females (sows) can sometimes get up to 40 pounds. they become territorial, they are smart, and amply equipped to hunt- they will eat kittens, puppies and I saw a vid on national geographic once where a raccoon actually hunted, killed, and ate a full grown wild rabbit. They can carry rabies. It is much better to admire them from afar. If you want to help then join groups to stop habitat destruction or you could volunteer at a wildlife rehab place, they often get baby coons. the reason you don't see many adults at those places is that they are difficult to handle and are usually released back into the wild once they are grown.

Why am I cycling every 14 days when I am exclusively feeding?

My son is almost 5 months old, and I am exclusively nursing him. He is getting enough food, and feeds every 1-1.5 hrs. When he sleeps for about 8 hours at night, I pump after about 4. I am dieting, excercising 5 days a week, and on the "mini-pill". so, after 5-7 days of being period free, I have regular 7 day periods, at first with very heavy bleeding and sometimes clotting that is about the size of a 1/2 dollar (or a little larger at times). this has been going on for 3.5 months after the almost 2 1/4 months of constant bleeding after having him. I am mentally a mess every other week (hormones, I think). IS this normal? I lost my insurance, and can't go to my follow-up. I had a history of irregular periods, and was supposed to get my thyroid checked, as well as an ultrasound to see if I needed an DNC. I am experincing heavy cramping, worse than before I had my child and was cycling. Please help me with ideas! thanks

My lab had it really bad as a puppy too and she recovered. However, she had a temperamental stomach for the rest of her life. I've been teaching for 11 years, and many teachers, principals, and parents would say I'm one of the best teachers in the building. But, my first year I was horrible. None of the discipline techniques I tried would work, and I couldn't figure out how to get a whole clroom to do what needed to be done. Since then, I've observed quite a few first year teachers, and in truth, none of them are effective... I think a lot of young teachers end up leaving the profession, despite the fact that they might become a good teacher, with effort. Can being ill and antibiotics effect my period?

i have had bronchitis for 6 weeks, i was on no medication for this. i finally got over this and a few days later i got a tooth abcess and was on antibiotics for 5 days. My period was due a few days later. It eventually was 4 days late! i am 30 and normally like clockwork every month. It seemed to start like a normal period but only lasted for 2 days with very light spotting for the 3rd day! i am normally no less than 5 days. I do not think i am pregnant as i have no symptoms apart from my growing a cup size but no tenderness or nothing that would be expected with pregnancy. I did do a pregnancy test a week before my period was due as i was very teary and emotional,(not like me at all) and thought i'd do it to be on the safe side and it was neg. When I moved to where I am now I planned on getting a dog. I always had big ones before and planned on a medium to larged size dog. Anything but a small one. Then my neighbor came along with a Pomeranian that had been abused previously. They couldn't keep it they already had three dogs and I had none, so I took him. At first he was so cranky and snappy I thought we would never get along. Slowly, very slowly he grew on me. After getting him fixed and trained and medical stuff, he calmed down a lot. He is just the right size for riding in the car with me, likes the same length walks, hes good with my cat and he likes my lap. What made me write this now. A couple days ago he got out and got lost. It was 35 below with wind but I searched for hours. After 18 hours I found him with some help. Some people had taken him in. While he was gone I realized he is the most perfect dog I could have. I have been taking spanish in school for more than 5 years now, but our curriculum is not very good, so I am looking to take matters into my own hands. So my doctor recommended that to lose weight, aside from the standard dietary changes I should also look into aerobics. My favorite kind of "exercise," just because it doesn't particularly feel like it, is dancing -- by which I mean the kind you do in your room when no one's looking. The problem is that this doctor also says that the most strenuous part of the routine should last around 15 minutes. I'm lucky if I make it to ten, and even at that I feel like my heart's about to burst. I know it's just because I'm not used to it -- I'm 22, and aside from being overweight I'm actually not in bad health, so it's not likely I'm going to drop dead of a heart attack or anything. But is there any way to get in that level of exercise without feeling like I'm dying?

my daughter had a kidney problem when she was little. apparently it was a birth defect that went unnoticed. then when she was 17 ( she's almost 19 now) she had it removed because it died and became infected and cause great pain. perhaps if the cysts popped it could cause an infection through the blood stream. having a kidney removed isn't as much as someone donating a kidney. get a second opinion. either way it sounds like there will continue to be pain. good luck

Well a no fly zone basically dictates that several areas in Libya will be monitored by international forces to prevent any Libyan pilots from attacking potential civilian areas. Everytime Chris Franjola is on Chelsea's panel, I remember this episode I saw where he said something insulting to her on the show, and she retaliated by bringing up a story about him that had just happened, on a cruise he went on (maybe she did too I don't know), this woman Chris Franjola met apparently went down on Chris, not in the traditional place (to keep it yahoo friendly), and he was so visibly and genuinely mortified by her talking about this, he just like drops his head to the table, talks about his mom watching and can she please stop, it really cracks me up and I've been trying to dig up the clip, can't find it, or any more info about which episode etc... It's a long shot but ya never know, thanks for any help ! (maybe someone remembers who the guest was on that episode, etc.)

Well you were definitely a very exciting performer haha Your singing wasn't great although at the same time it wasn't terrible either. If you could rid the world of money...?

Money provides motivation. why should someone study for years to become a doctor, lawyer or teacher or other profession if he can make as much pushing a broom. Rewards are a motivation however unfair the situation may be. A person would need to know what kind of stem would be in place to replace the one we have before abandoning it and have an idea if it would be workable and what to do if it didn't work.

I have a mive data set which i need to statistically yse. When i copy the raw data into excel it occupies one column even though it appears as three columns inside column A. How do i time efficiently separate these 3 columns into recognisable columns in excel i.e. A,B,C? The data set consists of 1000's of individual datum so it would be a life saver to find out!

his wife and family are of no concern to this man, why would the wife be waiting on him? she should be planning her future, and seeking the advice of an attorney on how to come out of this as financially well as she can. he has already left her, there is no marriage anymore, based on his actions. its part of his character and who he really is, he doesn't love her or the kids, and should have to pay dearly in divorce court.

Am I jumping the gun?

I am 22 weeks pregnant, and I was supposed to find out what we're having today. Well, I went all the way to the doctor just for them to tell me that they didn't have me scheduled today for an ultrasound. Mind you, I've been waiting for a MONTH to find out, I've been ecstatic, and impatient. The doctor comes into the room and starts in with this attitude for the messup. I'm crying because, duh! I'm pregnant and emotional and DISAPPOINTED! And ALL he can say is "we'll reschedule you". I've been wanting to change OBG's for the past two months, because I just don't see having such an insensitive person like that deliver my FIRST child EVER. Am I being to worried?? Or do I have every right for feeling the way I do? He never listens to my worries, I don't even know the heart rate of my baby, my belly measurement, or anything. Every time I try to ask a question about a legitimate concern I have all I get is "I don't know, I can't tell you". Would you be able to have this person deliver YOUR child??
